UpdatesMDOT’s I-73 Feasibility Study is entering its home stretch. The consultants hope to submit a final draft of the Study to the public by mid-December. After public comment the final report will be submitted to MDOT. The study will include three alternate routes, one of which could become an interstate highway or other improved roadway. With the final report in hand MDOT will then decide whether to proceed with an environmental impact study of the proposed routes. Check MDOT’s I-73 website to find out about additional public meetings: www.mdot.state.mi.us/I-73/
The completion schedule for the Lenawee County Land Use Plan has been extended to August 2001. Information collection is progressing on a broad array of subjects for inclusion in the planning process and the plan document. The plan is intended to help guide local government decisions. In addition to special county planning commission meetings on the first Thursday of each month, a series of workshops are planned for five regional locations during March and April. Public interest and involvement is considered essential to identifying issues and establishing the goals and policies of the plan. | Contents | |||
