Mission of the Southeast Michigan Stewardship Network:

Foster region-wide communication and cooperation among the professional and volunteer stewards to expand our knowledge base and encourage understanding and appreciation of the region’s biodiversity.

Increase and diversify the learning opportunities available to professional and volunteer stewards in a way that expands and strengthens the restoration and management of natural areas in southeast Michigan.

Encourage, coordinate, and facilitate public participation and understanding of our area’s natural areas by developing collaborative education programs and promoting volunteer opportunities.
