Stubnitz Environmental Education Center

ocated in the City of Adrian’s Heritage Park, Stubnitz Environmental Education Center puts itself forward as a living laboratory for all people. Dedicated in 1993 and funded by a grant from the Stubnitz Foundation, the Center provides a unique and valuable setting for students and the general public to enjoy and explore the natural world. An indoor laboratory compliments the outdoor one, and visitors are able to spend ample time in both.

The goal of the living laboratory is to offer the opportunity for lifelong learning, and instill a sense of stewardship for the natural environment. Programs offered for students in the Lenawee Intermediate School District and members of the community help bring this goal to fruition. Supported by the city of Adrian, local businesses, and community agencies, the Center represents a special partnership for the community.
