Meet Our Members
John Stahly – Board Member

John Stahly is our newest board member, having agreed in January to fill one of the vacancies on our board of directors. John is an environmental educator currently working for the Ann Arbor Public Schools coordinating the GO! Outdoors program for elementary students and their families. This is a second career for John, who, after a number of years in the contracting business, recently returned to school and did his Master’s degree work at the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. John has been an active volunteer with both the River Raisin and Huron River watershed councils, and has also been part of the group working to build the Raisin Cluster of the Southeast Michigan Stewardship Network. Along with natural history in general, some of his particular interests are ecological restoration and aquatic ecology. John and his wife, Marifran Brown, have lived in Manchester Township since 1987, and have two school-aged children, Kate and William.
